Hey, I'm Celina Arslanian – a bit of a wanderer with a love for all things creative. Originally from Brazil, I've had the privilege of calling places like London, Barcelona, Washington, D.C., Rio de Janeiro, New York City and currently Los Angeles, home. In these places, I've found myself directing, production designing, and contributing as a set decorator for feature films, shorts, commercials, and TV shows.

Back in university, I took a leap into the world of art direction and animation in broadcasting armed with an Art and Design degree, picking up a few Promax Latin America awards along the way. But truth be told, I missed the hands-on stuff. So, picture this: a low-budget car rally from London to Mongolia. Yep, that was my idea. And believe it or not, it turned into a TV travel show on Brazil's "Multishow."

I made my way to New York for a master's in Media Studies at the New School. That's where I discovered my love for narratives – the magic that happens between set design and storytelling.

And speaking of stories, there's one close to my heart – a short film I directed and production designed called "Small Deaths." It's been a journey, and I'm proud to say it's picked up over 8 awards in various festivals. That little film taught me more than I could've imagined.

In recent times, I've had the pleasure of contributing to feature films as a set decorator, like "Down Low," directed by Rightor Doyle, which premiered at SXSW. There's also "Crumb Catcher," directed by Christopher Schotchdopole, making waves at the Fantastic Film Festival and Woodstock Film Festival.

Since then, I've been lucky enough to work on various projects, with some making appearances at festivals like SXSW, Tribeca Film Festival, Berlinale, and New Fest. You might have spotted them in ART Forum and Brooklyn Rail Art Magazine too.
